The Keith McMillen SoftStep 2 is a USB MIDI foot controller designed to be a primarily to be a foot controller for a guitar effects rig but works great on synths as well. SoftStep 2 is perfect for control of Ableton Live in that parameters of synths and samples can be assigned and tweaked easily during performance.

The Pads on Softstep 2 detect foot pressure and directional movements allowing for plethora of control possibilities. Fully customizable SoftStep 2 can be edited to meet you needs via the software editor at the Pearl Electronics Support website. The McMillen MIDI Expander allows for the SoftSetp 2 to function with external hardware.
